I had the pleasure of participating in Artie Morris's latest adventure in the Galapagos. Trying to capture Storm Petrels from the zodiacs was a challenge, but luckily for me rewarding in that I got a few sharp images. This is one of my favorites. Hope you enjoy.

This is my first post here. Hope you enjoy!

Welcome Frank! Great first post. This pretty much a perfect storm petrel image for me. Wing position, pose, head angle, details all are great. Captured their feeding behavior perfectly and love those water droplets.

Love the colours and the pose. There's an errant reflection in the water at bottom center (probably from the water droplets) that I would clone out; otherwise, excellent shot!

Welcome to BPN, Frank. A great first post. Congratulations! On my trip to the Galapagos some years ago I spent hours trying for this shot, and never managed it. These are fast and flighty birds, and combined with the moving boat it seemed to me a near impossibility. This is spot on. Great pose illustrating their behavior, nice HA and water patterns.

Excellent frame, Frank: great detail on the bird and great light. I really like the 'walk on water' pose. The water even looks beautiful in this shot. Colour and tone well rendered and the composition works for me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Bill. Yep, they are tough. Actually went thru the others of these Petrels this and still consider this one the best of the bunch.

Hi Jake. Thanks for the look. Had not noticed the selections I think your are referring to. Good catch. they are worth taking out when I get to printing this image. Thanks again.

This is one cool image Frank. I like the pose, HA and colours on the bird. I agree with the rest, its a real good looking frame. A warm welcome, and looking forward to seeing more of your images.
