    Canon 1DM2, 100-400 @400, 1/640, f9, -.7, ISO 800, HH, cropped to about 4x5. The story we heard is these little creature's closest relative is the elephant. Looks rather unlikely, but that's the story. Cute little rock climbers. From South Africa.

    Douglas, sorry no one has commented on this image yet. I was out yesterday. Hyrax are really cool little animals. You had some nice soft light to work with. Color saturation is good as is sharpness. I like the idea of the animal at the edge of a cliff but really would have prefered to see the entire animal.
