Common Tern, from Nickerson back in August. This isn't small enough in the frame to justify the prefix, but I kept it somewhat small to show the environment, as he cruised along the surf line just before sunset.

Looks just a touch dark on my monitor (realising it is near sunset), but I love the BG surf, cruising pose, and composition.

Beautiful capture, Bill. Great light with just the right degree of softness in the surf. Nice wing and tail positions, and good catchlight.

Really good one. Not sure if i would change anything except maybe raising shadows a bit and exposure.

Nice flight image, shows off the underside of the bird well. I agree with Dan that the image appears a tad dark on my display. Thank you for sharing, Bill.

Hi Bill, I really enjoy these type of images with a subject flying against an OOF surf BG. Good feather detail, sharp, and well placed in the frame. Well captured.
