Default Peregrine Falcon against Sand Dune

This juvie Peregrine flew over the large tide pool at the tip of Sandy Hook, with a vegetated dune as backdrop. For this post I kept it almost full width to keep him small in the frame.

Nicely caught against the dune which shows off the falcon well, subject looks sharp and has space to fly into, but maybe a bit off left, top & bottom.

Lovely looking frame Bill. I like the comp and the dune in the BG shows the birds nicely. Maybe, like Graham mentioned , a wee bit off the LHS, but nice as is. Love the flight pose you captured.

Great capture at some distance, Bill and a great fit to the theme. I'm less certain about the OOF dune in the background although it's good the bird is fully over this area and not intersecting with the water or sky. I think the framing works as is even though I can see where Graham and Will are coming from. Tones, colours and IQ all excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Bill, you never disappoint with your theme entries, and kudos for getting this fellow smack against the veggies. Good feather detail, and well exposed too.

An attractive image Bill. Great you caught him in front of the darker background and a good pose the give a full view of the wings.

Very nice, Bill. Like that you caught him in a slight banking position with the grass covered dune in BG. Good detail too.

Cool environmental shot of this young peregrine cutting through her Territory. Nice details in composition. Well done
