Hi Sanjeev - Nice to see a Topi. It has been a long time since someone posted one. I like the pose and comp. Nice creamy bokeh with the oof ones in the bg. I just wish one of the oof ones was not intersecting the ear. You can get a bit more detail if you open the midtones slightly on the face.

    Rachel

Hi Sanjeev, I feel having the head side on, or going full frame and having the whole body in may have been better option and something different as a portrait rather than close up? The reason for thinking this is that the LH eye is in shadow and although there, not 'perhaps' that visible WDYT? Certainly side on would also have highlighted that lovely horn too, with it's 'rings' and caked mud. Not sure on your method of sharpening, but DoF looks spot on, however you need more USM on the horns, as the detail is all there, likewise muzzle & ears. Colour looks good with that lovely warm chestnut and orange eye, but would remove the other Topi 9blob on the RHS, again the BKG is a killer, the 500 really does compress the backdrop nicely to give that bokeh look.

Sanjeev, thank you for this image of a species I've not seen. A handsome looking animal. The IQ and handling of tones and colours here look very good to me, as they do for work generally although I think some lifting of the shadows may benefit this shot. The background is really wonderful and contrasts nicely with the animal. I'm unsure about composition on this one though but not sure what to suggest. Steve has put some ideas up but I'm honestly not clear what would work best here. Overall, a lovely frame of an interesting animal.

Hi Sanjeev agree that it is very nice to see a different and not often presented species ...
All does look quite good to me with a very nice IQ . The creamy BG is a treat for me to perfectly isolate the subject ...i might try to sharpen the horns as Steve suggested .
Having the lighting in mind ....i might up the exp a fraction and tone back the HL and 1/4 tones .

    TFS Andreas
