Nice lighting, and cool raised foot. I like the natural habitat background with the mussels...

Typical Rail habitat, always in difficult places. I like the hunting pose of the bird, the reflection in the water. Techs look good, thank you for sharing.

Very nice Tim, I like the natural feel about this one. Great pose with the raised foot and the reflection adds.

I really like it Tim. The light is very nice as is the reflection. The mussels make for an interesting background. I like your pano crop here.

The pose including raised foot are great, Tim. Reflection is excellent too and help make this image stand out since the bird would be a little lost giving everything in this frame. Having said that, the mussels do make for an interesting backdrop. Tonally, this looks a little flat to me - maybe because of the direct early light on the scene? I'd be tempted to selectively boost the tonal range/contrast selectively on the bird if this wasn't against your ethos. The pano crop works well here. Thanks for sharing.

Like everything about this image, Tim. Makes me smile at how well this represents the behavior, and habitat of rails. Like the pano crop adding to the crouching stance. Well done.

Hi Tim, I like you pano crop to suit the sleek walking pose. Well done to show the raised foot, and the reflection has really turned out well. I'm glad you left the BG as is, as that's their enviroment. Skittish characters aren't they.
