Hi Dan - You've turned an awkward angle into a pleasing image. The square comp works. I like the bit of snow. If it were mine I would boost the midtones on the elk slightly.

    Hello Dan,

I am quite taken with the image design here. Just a thought, have you thought of flipping this horizontally, see what happens?

Lovely detail and I really like the pose and head angle, agree with Rachel that boosting the midtones slightly would add lots of punch to this superb looking Elk Bull.

Wonderful work, I really enjoyed viewing and looking forward to more from you

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Like the design and composition of this image.. Maybe a little tight for my taste. Nice soft lighting, plenty of detail.. Very well done!

Hi Dan i do agree with the others of the award looking pose of the elk , but you did quite well i think .
Maybe a bit tight and the HL and mid tones a bit thin for my taste .Detail and sharpness is looking good .
    Keep them coming .....TFS Andreas
