Hi folks well i am back from a trip that took me to Austria for photographing marmots , to Italy for motorbiking and to the Netherlands to revisit and photograph the Bisons .
I had mostly a good time when it came to photograph the animals , specially the Bisons has been great .No that much luck , weatherwise ,in Italy with the motorbiking .I got wet many times and i could not go that deep in the bends and curves as i would have liked to do .

The marmots did a good job in being there and the population seemed to be bigger than previous year ....they have been already very busy with the collection of food for the winter .

Finally the trip to Kraansvlak in the Netherlands , where i met Gerald Kelberg and went shooting with him for 3 days , we had a good time together .Sadly for him , he went earlier and missed some great opportunities for the Bisons .
Big difference to my last visit was the fact that they had six calves running around ....and the rut was going to start .

    So here you go ....

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    EF 200-400 IS L at 311 mm
    HH standing upright

    F 8 ; Iso 1600 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS CC 2017 ; cropped for comp to 80 % of FF

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous image

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, nice 'stock' shot, love the soft light and colour palette, cracking detail too. Perhaps a sliver more above?

Hi Andreas - Welcome back! It sounds like you (mostly) had a good trip. This works quite well. I like the shooting angle and comp though I wouldn't mind a sliver more below. Nice brown tones with great detail. Nice one. Looking forward to more.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Hello Andreas,

Glad you had a fruitful and enjoyable trip, your images show:)

Wonderful colours here (I am afraid the colour of the Bison itself makes me think of chocolate?!!!!). Superb techs, well exposed, nice choice of DoF, great HA from the subject, super IQ and very pleasing composition. Let us not forget that awesome blue sky in the BG
I like everything about this - congratulations, Andreas

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
