Great pose and background. Your low POV is also excellent but the bird looks soft to me. Is there much of a crop here? How does the RAW look for focus/sharpness?

Chris, nice pose, angle, BG and colors, a higher f-stop would have been beneficial.

Very nice! I love the light and the low POV and the hunting pose. You have captured the intensity of the moment perfectly.
    Whites look good.
I agree that you should have been at a higher F stop and higher ISO to allow you to get a higher aperture.
In practical terms, you would have only gained an inch or two to the DOF but when there is a convertor on a lens, I always find that a higher F-stop gives you better IQ and sharper images.
All in all, a lovely image,
    Gail

Thank you for all of your positive comments and the noted critique on sharpness. I reviewed my processing and noticed in Define 2 i used a global noise reduction in lieu of selective. Please see the revised image for new critique and comments.

    Thanks

Chris, I think that helps quite a lot. I always select my main subject and either apply only mild NR to it or, more rarely, none. Much stronger NR will usually not do much harm to backgrounds and foregrounds with sophisticated NR tools like Dfine and Neat Image... but sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know.
