    Default Black-bellied Plover

I captured this image at Ft. De Soto County Park in Pinellas County, Florida. I think this is a juvenile because the legs appear too large for the body, not sure, just a thought. This plover was striding along the surf line, every now and then dipping it's bill to grab a little morsel. I had to keep getting up and moving to keep ahead of the bird. I dread going to Ft. De Soto now after the hurricane wondering how much the storm changed it. Soon I will venture for a look, will post my discoveries. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hi Joe, lovely low perspective, and I like the extended left leg as if he is on a mission. I like the different colours on this Plover, and that hanging droplet adds interest. If this were mine, I would take at least half off the bottom.

I love the little drop hanging form the bill tip! Good walking stance, and the blues look very pleasing. I agree with trimming some off the bottom. It has black breeding feathers molting either in or out, making it an adult.

Nice low angle like the walking pose and the blue.

I am really looking forward to hearing about Fort DeSoto. I have tried to find out information on status but have come up blank.
    Very nice image.
I agree about taking the OOF stuff at bottom of the frame and cropping it out.
The hanging water droplet is a nice feature,
    Gail
