I captured this image at Ft. De Soto County Park in Pinellas County, Florida. I think this is a juvenile because the legs appear too large for the body, not sure, just a thought. This plover was striding along the surf line, every now and then dipping it's bill to grab a little morsel. I had to keep getting up and moving to keep ahead of the bird. I dread going to Ft. De Soto now after the hurricane wondering how much the storm changed it. Soon I will venture for a look, will post my discoveries. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Hi Joe, lovely low perspective, and I like the extended left leg as if he is on a mission. I like the different colours on this Plover, and that hanging droplet adds interest. If this were mine, I would take at least half off the bottom.
I love the little drop hanging form the bill tip! Good walking stance, and the blues look very pleasing. I agree with trimming some off the bottom. It has black breeding feathers molting either in or out, making it an adult.
I am really looking forward to hearing about Fort DeSoto. I have tried to find out information on status but have come up blank.

I agree about taking the OOF stuff at bottom of the frame and cropping it out.
