Hi Bill, I really like the incoming pose here, and just wish the perch wasn't what it is. I like the intense concentration on his face, together with the raised foot.
Dynamic pose. I like the guy wire instead of a branch. Wildlife shares our environment. This is a very real image. Great.
10 for the bird, 3 for the perch, but I know you knew that my friend. This is one of those comical shots we cannot help capturing. Love the look of the bird. Thank you for sharing, Bill.

Artistically the image is not at par, but as a wildlife vs man documentation image it works to a degree. Different, and I like your title
This is a practical image i almost always see red tails on power lines & utility poles.
Dynamic landing pose. Tack sharp and good IQ.
Although the perch is a power line it certainly shows where I see these guys all the time. A very "real" image!

This is a great approach capture, Bill. Good wing position, and fanned tail. Like the intense concentration.

Thank you all. I think it was Reagan who said "If you've seen one [redwood] tree you've seen them all." Birds landing in trees are a dime a dozen, but I really liked this guy wire.
