Lots of post work on this one. It was nice to start with but the colors were really muddled and a bit underexposed so I lightened, brightened and, finally, added the illustrated action. Not sure I love the dark vignette in the top corners but the white up there was too harsh. Comments?

Wow. I was grabbed by the thumbnail and the posted image is even better. Love the mood and the oof blossom in the back. Had you moved about a small step to your right the main flower would have hidden the bright leave immediately to its left and would have created a more pleasing juxtaposition with more space between the main blossom and the oof one. Lastly, you might try a tad darker with the middle tones. All in all I love it.

    Default Slap on the back!

Very nice Julie! The illustration action is just detectable for me on the front flower, its like a detailed watercolor painting. You could easliy remove the dark corners, but they are ok to me. Did you use the "one click" version of the action on a fairly large file? I have found that with this version, if you resize the image down to 1200 or even 800kb on a side, then run the action, that the illustration effect is more pronounced. The smaller the more illustrated! This gives you a little control of the final product.

Thanks Dan! I wondered why some of these images didn't "illustrate" as much as others...now I know!

Every effect you use will be more noticeable the smaller the file. It also happens with PS creative filters.

Very much alive and vibrant, Julie, congrats!
