This Baird's Sandpiper was only the second record we have had on Staten Island. It was hanging out on the beach at Great Kills Park. I went late in the evening to try and get some photos of it. Got many but most were on very cluttered parts of the beach. This was my favorite with a mostly clear background.

    Canon 1DX and Canon 500 f4 ii + 1.4xiii. ISO 640, F6.3, SS 1/2000. Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS

Hi Isaac, love the low angle here, and you certainly made the most of the soft late light. You have captured good feather detail overall sharp, and the complimentary colour to the BG works well.

Nice! Great low angle and textbook profile pose. Perfect techs. If mine I'd likely toned down or blend out the oof circle area in URC. Congrats on seeing this individual, and beautifully photographing it!

Very nice image like the low angle and pose on the bird.

Yes, a great shot: lovely tones, colour, detail, light and POV. Nice background to round it off and good pose and composition. What's not to like here? Thanks for sharing.

Nice one Issac. The only thing i would do is to clone the circle below the tail of the bird.

Sweet frame, Isaac. I love everything about it, including the species which continues to elude me.

Great low angle, remove the two spots mentioned by others and you have a winner
