    Cool, 1000mm macro! :) Sweet detail and background. I wish they would land on prettier perches. It looks like you could have gone with a bit more DOF and still maintained a good background and got the rest of those wings in focus. Minor nit but would have been cool to try it.

    I like it a lot. Good narrow crop for comp, too. I also enjoy how the BG transitions from cool to warm. DOF works for me, and of course the light angle is just right.

    I like this a lot, Al!
    Composition works for me and the background colors do a great job of complimenting
    the subject.
    Your selected crop also highlights the long slender body of the Dfly.

    I like the comp a lot. I'll have to try this method soon - 1000mm should give a good working distance! The BG is wonderful here.

    I also like how the BG colors compliment the image, nicely done 1000mm man.

    Hi Al, Out of all the excellent Dragonfly images displayed here I think this takes the cake!!! Superb composition and I just love the arrangement of the 4 wings. Wow that 500mm sure softens the BG. Many congrats!
