    This feral makes a great photo Tim. I struggle myself to photograph introduced birds but maybe the ones we have here are far more damaging to the environment and our endemics? I like your handling of tone and colour here - always tricky on a bird with such extreme tonal range. Nice detail in those blacks while retaining good depth and colour in the orange parts. I imagine this could be composed a lot of different ways but I think your choice in this environment works. Thanks for sharing.

    I like the bird, the colors and the feel of the environment. Would be nice to have a little cleaner BG just behind the bird, but at least if the OOF green reed would not be right behind the beak. A pleasant image. TFS.
