    From last year in Iceland, near Lake Myvatn, in fairly dim early morning light. This shows the moss-covered lava rocks of the area. Lovely to look at but treacherous to walk on, especially while carrying a big lens and tripod.

    D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 2000, 1/2000s @ f/7.1 manual. Gitzo and Mongoose.

    Beautiful capture, Bill. It was well worth the hazards , cliffs, moss covered jagged volcanic rock, we encountered to get close to a number of birds. Exceptional light, fine detail and nice head turn.
