This small dart frog, roughly the size of a thumb nail, and is endemic to Tarapoto, Peru. It is a captive bred specimen that was photographed during one of my recently concluded dart frog workshops. Later this month I will be traveling to the Tarapoto region of Peru and do hope to be able to photograph numerous species of dart frogs and tree frogs in the jungle and a host of other critters that call the rainforest home.

Very nice image, I like the lighting and composition. I think I would be inclined to lift the lower tones just a little, i get the impression the image is just a little "heavy".
