    Hi all,

Yet another Puffin photo from Farne Islands. BG is a far cliff / sky. In post lifted the eye slightly, standard LR sliders, cropped by about 15%, added some canvas to the top, NR on BG and sharpened.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
    Specs: 1/3200 ISO 2000 f/5.6

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

You've done all you could with this frame Alex - very sharp (far from easy) nice details - the fish in the beak are always a bonus. The only thing letting it down slightly is the far wing position - hardly your fault, but a shame nonetheless.

Looks like you had a great time over our side of the pond - you've certainly got some really nice results from your trip.

Nice flight image. You don't see too often this species in flight loaded with fish. Nice detail in the whites, good angle etc. I tend to do bit more contrast, i.e. darker blacks but that's a matter of taste.

Nice work catching him in flight with a mouthful. Not crazy about the far wing. Maybe boost the contrast and saturation just a tad?

I agree about the wing position, but I love the sharpness and BG. Fish prey are pretty cool, too.

Thanks all -- really appreciate it. I'll look into adding a touch more contrast and saturation. Thanks again, A

Very nice! Any sharp flight photo of a puffin in flight is a keeper in my book!
I like the blue sky and the BG.
    Far wing position already addressed.
I would add a couple of points of black to the neutrals and the blacks in Selective Coloring in Photoshop. I feels this needs a slight boost in contrast,
    Gail
