I chose to share this image over other images where Juvi Spotted Wood Owl is looking at me directly. Does it work for you? Will appreciate your views and comments.

Gorgeous light, and the pose works fine for me. A pity the shooting angle is so steep, but I'm guessing there is no way round this at the location?

It'll be nice to see him / her develop if its a local bird to you

Other than the angle it is a nice photo, BG colors nicely matching the bird.

Beautiful light and details. Ditto about the angle.

Thanks Mike for your comments. Yes, owls in general and spotte wood owl in particular likes to perch on top most branch of a tall tree during the day time. So I had no room to be farther away though I was shooting at 840 mm focal length. This bird is local to Singapore and one family is local to this park. Once the Juvi matures into an adult, it is hard to spot the difference between other adults. But adults also have very interesting plummage.

Thanks Bill. Yes, I wish bird was perched lower so that angle is not so steep..
