    Default Flamingo high angle

We often aim for a low and an extreme low angle to shoot birds bringing the viewer into the world of the animals. Here is an image that is far from low angle, still I feel like it brings the viewer into the world of the flamingos that are flying above. What do you guys think? Comments are welcome.

The textures of the BG and the colours on the birds, work well. Certainly something different, for me it works. What makes it, I think, is that all birds are facing the same direction, and, even though, they are very small in frame, detail can still be seen. I don't know how far you were away, but maybe a tighter crop, with the 19 birds in the middle, larger in frame, may work even better, but, I suppose its down to taste.

I quite like this Lorant. The contrast of the birds with the background is great and detail looks very good. I also like the vague arrowhead pattern of the flock and that they are moving in the same direction the 'arrow' is pointing. The only thing I find disconcerting about it is that the bird's almost look like they are tilting towards the surface of the water - because of the inability to judge much depth from top to bottom of the frame (it looks like a shot from directly overhead but it's not). I always enjoy seeing a different perspective and treatment.

I like this Lorant. Birds are distributed in a very nice pattern.
Only thing I am not sure of is the ? log in RUC of frame.
I like the "odd man out" ie. the flamingo at the top that is moving towards the bottom of the frame.
Can you explain wher you were shooting from,
    Gail

Another fan in me here. I really like the texture in the water and I'm good with this crop. The 'triangle' bird formation is nice. I also really like the trails in the water from where they walked. TFS

I've always liked your high angle shots Lorant, and this one is no different. The ripples are a lovely touch and the colours of the birds really sing here,

Being ultra picky I'd have preferred it without the 2 distractions coming out of the water towards the right hand side - did you get any shots after they'd moved on a bit?

Keep them coming, a very refreshing change
