This is the same sunflower field but shot as a vertical. Two images composited together one for the milky way and another for the sunflowers. Sunflowers lit with a Yongunuo speed lite.

Hi John... Much prefer this one over the previous post. Try pushing out the exposure time to 30 Sec, however I'm guessing these are from the same shoot as the previous image? I think I would try a slightly lower POV also so you only see the near flowers and more sky. Love the concept..
This does work much better. Do agree with Don on placing the sunflower blossoms more along the lower edge of the frame to allow more stars. I have used the SIgma 15mm fisheye for nightscapes on numerous occasions and have shot it at 30 seconds with great results...one such image was used for a magazine cover this past summer.
