Hi folks this shows the greeting behavior of the Grey Seals ....just stick the noses together .
The younger one on the RHS followed the older one for a short time ...and finally made him stop to get connected for a couple of seconds , but the slightly older one was not very long interested and made his way . Both were born in the same season .....they do grow so quick in the first time .
The blurriness is coming from the sand that was blown quite heavy that day .

    F 6,3 ; Iso 10000 ; 1/1600 sec

Processed with DPP 4.6 and PSCC 2017 ; some gardening in the BG for a more continuos tonality ( dodging) , cropped for comp from all sides

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous thread .

Hi Andreas -- What a pleasant moment and lovely soft colours in the image. I liked the framing and the subjects standing out nicely against the FG/BG. Very nicely done and thanks for the info regarding its behaviour.

    TFS !

Lovely image Andreas, with nice behaviour & low POV. Good DOF & techs too.

The image has a very 'etherial' or 'ghostly' appearance with the very simple, yet muted colour palette, a nice departure from previous images. Very well processed and illustrates what you and I have been saying about techs and not being afraid to push the ISO. The side elevation conveys a very 'intimate' moment which is very endearing. A great valentines image and very commercial too. Did you consider coming in on the sides so the crop is closer to the front flippers?

    Hey Boetie Andreas,

Can't get any better than this? I just love the behaviour aspect here as well as colours, super framing and some mean ISO ( it really does not show, superb IQ ).

Beautifully exposed and lovely PP work my friend. What really makes this image for me is those intertwining whiskers: there's a bit of magic in the way those two seals are communicating, don't know what they are whispering to each other but I cannot help smiling. This grabs me Andreas, a very special image, all I would wish for is a close up if you have it

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks Haseeb, Sanjeev , Steve and Gabriela for your kind comments ........ much appreciated .

The moment lasted only short when the whiskers came so close together , two frames , then they had different positions .

Steve for sure i had that option in mind , no question , but i do not want to bash my pixels . Already a good cropping took place !!

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas - A very nice image and I like the soft, muted tones as well. Beautiful interaction and the low pov works so well. My only thought was to take some off the bottom so that the seals are not as centered from top to bottom.

    Rachel
