    Default African Sacred Ibis

I am hoping to go back to this location tomorrow morning where there is a Heron Rookery, Grey and Black Headed Herons, as well as Egrets and these Sacred Ibis's. I managed to capture this fellow in early morning light, and I like the full wingspread of the near wing. Unfortunately taken against a boring sky BG.

Hi Stu, love the way the wings arch forward. Nice control of the B&W's, highlighted by the cracking blue backdrop, you lucky fellow.

Very nice Stu. What a fantastic flight pose. Love the detail on the bird and, as Steve said, the BG shows the bird real well. Great exposure.

Yup, all's been said... lovely image Stu. An Ibis but quite different from the one's here. Thank you for sharing.

Stu, nice details and wing position, to bad the head is kind of lost in the rear shadow of the back wing, but it's still very nice.
    Keep 'em coming.

Great shot. Your handling of the lighting here is really excellent - always a challenge with black and white birds. But everyone else has said it - keep them coming.

Hi Stu - Nice light and I too like the arch of the wings here. Good control/exp of blacks and whites. in an ideal world the head wouldn't intersect the far wing. Good luck tomorrow!

Love the IQ and the perfect exposure.
Agree that the head is a bit lost against the far wing.

Thanks Gail. Unfortunately it was very overcast and windy this morning so I did not go out. I'm already looking forward to next weekend.
