I captured this image this morning at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. I found this Great Egret perched on a branch, photographing it for about a half hour when it took flight. Quite a show as it moved, preened, and scratched. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I like the pose and setting and exposure looks good. I think a bit more DOF could have helped add just a bit more clarity to the LHS tree as you had the ISO but not a deal breaker of course. Not the typical egret pose which is cool. TFS

Hi Joe, love the colours pose & framing. Great control of the Whites, Blacks and Shadows, nice work. My only with is that the branch continued on and not have the 'knot' there.

Hi Steve, your wish granted, the branch continues on without the knot. Thank you for viewing and commenting.

Superb pose Joe, really dynamic and shows off the Egrets form brilliantly. I really like the framing, one of your best IMHO

Love this one Joe. What a pose. The lovely blue BG shows the bird real well. Nice detail on the whites. I agree with Mike, one of your best. Fab frame and thanks for sharing.

A wonderful and unexpected pose. Great control of the whites with nice morning light. Simple edit but I do prefer the repost.
