    Tripod Canon 1DX Canon 180mm macro ISO 640 1/100 sec f8 (the image was in fact about a stop underexposed)
    My wife spotted this damselfly on some grass at water level, I transferred it to this more photogenic setting at the pond side. It had been quite cool so I guess she was doing a a few warm up exercises. I went for a slow shutter speed hoping to get some movement in the tail whilst retaining sharp detail in the head.

    Very nice love the sharp head with the blurred wings.

    Nice one, Jon! You achieved your goal and the motion blur adds interest to this image, IMO. I also like the soft light, comp, clean background, and the overall sharpness (other than the motion blur)!
