I would leave a little more space behind the bird if you have it and I am wondering if you've blown the whites near the rump?

While I am not a huge fan of birds turned away, the way it appears to be looking makes for a story in itself (looking for competition? a predator?) so it is quite fine in this instance IMO.

The tonal range in the BG is lovely.

Looks nicely framed and processed to me with lovely foreground and background, but agree with Akos on possible blown whites near rump? Pose is good, especially as the bird has its head turned back. Background looks feintly banded on my monitor in the part where the green is merging into the orange... but it may be my monitor.

Great low angle, and very beautiful BG. The open bill adds interest too. I would have loved for the bird's body to be angled more parallel to us, but at least it turned its head for you.
