Another visit to the Glen. This time I went early morning, which meant leaving the house at 0330, to get on location before the sun came up. I captured this one just as the sun was coming up over the mountains.

Very nice indeed including the beautiful setting and flowers. I like the composition too. Not much more to add!

Love the color and pose even if she looks like a disapproving mother (unless this is a father... then, that).

At that time in the morning Will, they got the weather right for once and it will hopefully also mean you avoiding the shooting parties too.

Nice warm, directional light hitting the subject, great to have the heather out, adds to the environment. I've been going more f/9-11 when at close quarters like this, interesting to see the comparison with a shallower DoF. The catchlight is a nice touch.

Very nicely done Will. I love the light and details. I am assuming the heather is the little OOF seed head looking thing that appears to balance this image so nicely towards the left?

Good work mate! Keep it up!

Beautiful image here Will. I love the light, the habitat, and the perked up pose.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Hi Akos, the heather is the purple/pink flowers in the FG.
