Man, that feather was just barely hanging by a thread, turning and twisting in the wind. I was sure it was to fall off but evidently did not while I was present.
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 80% FF, a few imperfections in the water cloned or patched out, darkened the pupil and the very brightest whites near the tail end.
Fantastic POV. (as expected) Great coloured BG which shows the bird really well. I can just imagine how well you liked this hanging feather Dan. Nice one.
Ha, this kills me. :) I have an image of a young sea eagle feeding in front of my hide with a misplaced feather, which I cloned out (for that particular shot).
I love this man. Great angle of view and lovely colours in the water and BG. Good details as well, so overall a really pleasing image.
Your fabulous signature POV, giving you wonderful fg/bg. Nice pose on the sandpiper. I'm not so sure about the feather; I sort of agree with Jay that I want to pluck it.
