This is the empty exoskeleton from a spider that has molted so it can grow to a larger size. It is dangling from a single strand of silk. Canon 1DX, 100mm macro. 1/160, f/16, ISO 200, KX-800 macro twin lite (diffused) as main light, hand held. The background is a print of OOF vegetation.

Very interesting subject Steve. All looks first rate to me. Nice comp, exposure, and background. Well done.

Spot on Steve wonderful sharpness and DOF. My only suggestion would be to have a background with just a little tonality and or structure.
