    Hi Everyone,
    Took this at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in March - these birds are so tame!!!
    400D 100-400mm @ 400
    ISO 200
    F8 1/1000 sec

    Nice close up, good eye contact with great colors and sharp details. I would add a bit more canvas to the left of the frame...:cool:

    Goregous Bird, Background- Beautiful light, good eye contact.
    As presented is good for me.

    The only thing I would do is apply a little selective sharpening to the eye - to make it pop. (Might be too much but you get the idea)

    P.S. Hope you don't mind me sharpening and reposting it.

    awesome!! never seen one of these with the blue bg. different!! i like what lance did to the eye. i might select it and lighten the reds a little to. nice detail, nicki!! agree with gus. would add just a little canvas on the left.

    Great portrait Nicki. Love the bg on this one. Wish you would have advised the group from South Florida of your visit to Waco in March. We would have love to have met you there. That's a place we often visited around that same time.
    Anyhow, maybe on your next visit.

    I like the crop as is and I think Lance's repost added some dramatic flair. Nicely done, sharp, interesting and great bg.

    I also like the crop, pose and Lance eye pop..What stands out to me are the wonderfully clean clear colors, well done!

    Love the image, the repost, and the golden look to the image. Quality is extremely high. You might try lightening the iris a bit. Overall: fabulous.
