Hi everyone, I have not got out birding too much, but recently the young green herons have fledged and are everywhere, I am like a kid in a candy store! It was really dark on my day off but I am glad I got out still. Canon 7D mark ll with the 100-400 mark ll and 1.4x lll 560mm, f/10, 1/800, 4000 iso handheld lightroom.

Looks a bit grainy, perhaps I cropped a bit too much

I like the OP better for the theme.
    Love those googly eyes!
I would take some off the LHS to make it a tighter vertical.
Techs with F 10 are good,
    Gail

A quirky individual with tons of personality! The fine details seem lacking as posted so perhaps the tight crop is what caused that. But I do like comp!

Nice portrait of this green heron like the composition and direct stare. The first post is sharper than the second.
