    Default Peruvian Rooster portrait (domestic)

Back in 2015 I crossed paths with a few Peruvian chickens in a village on the Amazon. This rooster stood out and gave me several nice poses. C&C welcome.

    D4S, Nikon 500mm f4/G + 1.4 TC, 1/640s, f 6.3, ISO 800, Gitzo, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    Cropped for composition.

Nicely executed and processed with wonderful detail. My only suggestion might be to crop a little differently so there was more on the left of the frame (if available)?

Thanks Glenn. Here's a repost with more on the left. My original post back in 2015 was closer to this. Not sure why I cropped that tight on left.

Pretty nice portrait Geoffrey, I changed the title to indicate a domestic bird

WOW! The IQ and details are very impressive. The BG compliments the red perfectly.
    Love the repost.

Really nice detail here. Like the second image more than the first.

Excellent detail, nice comp in the repost, good HA, and the bird stands out nicely against the darker background.

I'm the outlier here in that I vote for the original crop. The detail is incredible!

Thanks Doug. The tighter crop gives him a slightly better posture.
