Mazel tov and welcome. Lovely light, wing position, and background and way sharp. A great start. Thanks for showing your faith in us by joining. The only negative is that the bird's head is turned slightly away from you rather than slightly towards you. See the Head Angle Police thread in Educational Resources.

Thanks for the comment, Arthur. Read the Head Angle Police thread and I've learned something new already.
Neat image Johan. I suggest more room at the bottom and to desaturate the blue area in the front line of the right wing but I have no problem with the head turn;) Big wellcome!
Splendid image Johan, no nits for me!
Thanks Juan & Vincent for the comments. Juan, I would like to know how much space has to be added at the bottom. As far as de-saturating the blue area on the right wing, I will give it try (Not to clued up with CS3 at the moment).

I have tried to improve the image by following the suggestions made by Juan.
Desaturated the front line of the right wing. Left more room at the bottom.
Thanks, Juan. Appreciate your input.
