    A shot from yesterday. This is a new species for me though not rare to our area.

    Details: D500+Sigma 500/4, 1/2500, 7.1, HH

    A cute juvenile specimen. Light looks like it was getting harsh and its angle has kept the belly in shadow. A lower angle would have helped with the BG. Good parallel pose though. Have fun with the shorebirds, they are a hoot to photograph!

    Hi Joel,
    It was great meeting you the other day, I like the plovers these little guys are hard to photograph as they are always jumping around. you got a nice low angle and yes you could have gone even lower but the BG in this location is a bit distracting and somewhat over powers the bird. exposure is good, BG can use some NR as we went through the other day!
