Two of four x 5 mth old cubs scrap over the head of a baby Thompsons gazelle, mum recently brought down.

Non (wildlife) photographers often ask me why do you need 10+ fps shooting wildlife and this is one reason why, out of all the frames taken this was the only one which gave me that opportune "window" between the tail and backside of the leading cub

Ndutu/Serengeti- Northern Tanzania. Bean bag, front pax seat. slight crop, curves, levels, TK adj's in ACR & PS CC '17.

Great timing Marc and that fast frame rate did help here. The action is wonderful and good to see the head of the second cheetah. The prey & the predators really tell a story of life in the bush.

Marc I adore the soft pastel colours, there is a real tangible exuberance to this frame and yes wonderful to see that second cubs face. I love the tails also and the framing. Joy to view Marc no nits here.

Hi Marc - A very fun image despite the slight element of gore when you realize what their toy/prize is. Yes, you're right that the visible head of the trailing cub makes the image. The comp and more pano crop also work well. The heads look a little orange but it might be that they were wet with blood from the kill.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Superb action captured Marc, the positioning of the cheetahs in the frame and those tails intersecting give a nice 3D feel to this image. Great techs too. Not easy to focus on a running subject through those grasses, so very well done

I guess the cheetah on the LHS could take a tad more sharpening on the face, I would also try lightening those eyes a tiny bit ( but a very tiny bit).

Wonderful behavioural shot - so exciting to see this species in its natural environment, BTW those youngsters are in great condition:)

I took great pleasure viewing, thank you so much for sharing.

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Timing, framing, focus, composition...this really is a marvellous behavioural interaction. I would not have had this down as a 'pastel colour' type of shot but it does work.

Beautiful work here. I just love the colours in the OOF background here too. I'm still insanely jealous not seeing any wild cheetah on my recent African trip though!
