A single American Oystercatcher has a loud call in flight. Five of them coming toward you along the beach make quite a racket, giving you ample advance notice. Actually there were six, but I cloned out the sixth trailing half-bird. Almost full frame, but I tightened up several of the spaces between birds, just slightly.

I can hear these characters just looking at this excellent capture, Bill. All beaks open and nice clear view of their eyes. Like the wing positions, detail, beautiful warm light, and nice grayish blue BG.

Fooled me, when I first looked I thought it was one bird with five captures brought into one image. Nice work, birds all look sharp, nice colors, pure background. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Bill, I like the light in this, and great to all of them with their beaks open - they must have been making a racket.

I really like this. Very well seen!
I really like all the open beaks and the grey BG sky.
Would look nice as a pano as well,

Me too! Pretty neat image Bill. Good call cleaning up the edge and tweaking the spaces between the birds.
