Like it? LOVE it. Great execution, very nice background elements, great sharpness, beautiful subject. The eyes are mesmerizing, seductive, almost painterly. Nice work!
Love the pose, the habitat, the penetrating eyes, the colors. A matter of taste, but I could imagine just a tad less perch and a tad more room on top.
Another sweet one -- great head on stare and like the matching catchlights. Agree with Bill that I could see a version with more on top a sliver less on bottom. Really like the environment. TFS
Hi Ari, good choice of comp to suit the vertical perch and pose. I like the soft light, great IQ, and overall, nice and sharp. I do like the detail on the face.
Hi Arash...lovely short eared owl shot..i have tried on a few ocassions to do my processing in DPP 4 could you please tell me if you have used NR on this image .
I have found using a mixture of LR and DPP have worked for me but i have never been to happy with my NR software ,its neat image thats a plugin ...
Hi Arash,
Love the straight look and the details on the feathers. The background helped a lot with showing the winter habitat and sets the mood perfectly.
Cheers,

Man, the eye contact and lighting on this one is awesome!! I even like the soft weeds in the BG as they are just about perfectly blurred. One of my favorite static shots of yours from your trip. Well done Arash
