    Default Ruby-throated Hummingbird (f)

This image was captured at a bush in my backyard. I have been working on photographing the hummingbirds that come to the bush, where to stand, what part of the bush for a pure background, what time of day for the best light on the bird, etc.. Yesterday it all seemed to come together. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC 2017
    Cropped for composition and presentation

P.S. I identified this as a Ruby-throated Hummingbird because it is the most common in Florida. If I am incorrect please help with the identification.

It certainly did all come together. Very nicely done, Joe. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the aspect ratio of the image, but I don't know how I would have done it differently. The bird is nicely positioned in the frame.

Great one Joseph -- it really did all come together. Nice pose, detail, flower, and I liked the subtle two toned BG. Love the tucked feet. TFS

Excellent pose. Love the slightly blurred wings. I like the comp and the crop. I would consider trying to lift some of the shadows on the bird. Would also like to see the exposure of the bird raised a bit to bring out a little more of those beautiful feathers.

    Hi Joe.

All your hard work paid off. Like the light and all the detail, with a smooth BG. Love the beak either just opening or closing.
