    I like the pose and it is kind of neat how this white bird looks pink because of the light.
    The head is sharp but not tack sharp- critical focus looks like it was on the near wing. At f 4.5 it is hard to get good DOF throughout a large bird like this.
    With long necked birds I always try to stay at or above 7.1,

    Thanks for the comments Gail. I'll try stopping down a bit. I'm so used to thinking about shooting wide open I don't consider the full DOF issues at hand I think.
