Set a perch above a feeder it took only a couple days for the hummingbirds to start using it. Camera on sticks triggered with a remote. Image adjustments in Lightroom, small crop for composition.

Nice one -- I like the relatively simple image design. The two toned BG works for me and the perch isn't overwhelming. Details look nice on the bird especially for 1/100. To me, the bird looks a little dark, but I really rarely see these hummingbirds so I'm not the best judge of that. I don't mind the spider webs on top of the perch but I might consider cloning out the one under the perch on the bottom left corner. TFS

Very nice. I agree 100% with Alex's critique.
Perch is a perfect size for this little guy and I love the visible little feet

Excellent capture and technique, John. Like that you left the spider webs on the lichen encrusted setup. Like your crop and that beautiful BG.
I might lighten the throat and the shaded area of tail a tad. Not sure if you used flash or a white card for fill, but I would remove the two bright specular highlights in center of eye.

Very simple and pretty photo. Love the perch and the spider web. Bird looks very good also. I also think the frame is too dark and with up the exposure.
