Beautiful bird, great background. The focus point doesn't appear to be on the bird's head.

What a great BG you have here.
Good comp but I would prefer a sliver off the top or a bit more room on the LHS to make comp less boxy.
The bird is soft around the head- not sure if this is motion from the bird or hand holding issue.
Your "trimming" PP is very good.

I like the image design. Good BG, OK light, well balanced comp. I agree the subject is not critically sharp as posted though.
Got another excellent frame Jay, love the BG and perch. I'd raise the shadows on the darkest parts a tad and sharpen him a bit more. this a juvenile bird with the brown spots on the chest, very hadsome
