This image was taken couple of weeks ago from my Bear River Migratory Refuge. I am not good at flight photography. Even in Nickerson Beach I missed a lot of images.

I was doing all the right things from sun angle, wind direction but still could not get a sharp image. After coming home from the trip I send my Camera to Nikon explaining the issue. They confirmed it has AF issue and changed the AF module.

After this I wanted to see if I can get it right and Bingo I was able to get a sharp enough Image.

I saw this little fellow in water and I knew that he would take off. I was in Manual Mode so I took one image and checked for exposure. As the light did not change I did not make any changes, while he was flying I took a couple of shots.

    I like this one.

Let me know your thoughts and comments

    Nikon D500, 500mm f/4
    ISO 1250, f/5.6, 1/2500 sec
    Manual Exposure , +2 2/3 EV

Post processing - Cropped and Repositioned so that bird is left if the image and has some room to fly into.

    Thanks for watching

    Thanks
    Krishna

The bird is a little rough looking but i like the high key look and the wing position.
