    Here is another Purple Gallinule. I found this image in my files when looking at previous images, anticipating this years time photographing Purple Gallinules. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VR AF-S ED shot at 300mm
    1/500 F/8 Matrix Metering 0 EV ISO 160 AWB
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC 2017, removed a stalk of vegetation in the lower left of image, removed specular highlights on the legs of the bird
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Hi Joe, lovely angled pose, and nicely in the open to show off those wide feet. The light has brought out the iridescence so well, and I do like the thin perch.

    One of your best IMHO.

    Nice clean shot on a nice perch Joe. I've never seen one of these in real life, amazing to see the size of their feet and toes.
