    Iceland, July 2017.
These robin-like birds are everywhere in Iceland. They scurry in and out of the low shrubs and trees with their bills full of worms.
    Their song fills the air.
I had a difficult time getting an image that I liked. Finally, on day 13 in Siglusfjordur at a little pull off between 2 tunnels ( one was 4 km long, the other 11 kms long. Very fun to drive through!) I finally got my shot.

Comments and critiques always appreciated and learned from with thanks,

Your time was well spent trying to get this image. Very nice, love the perch, love the pose of the bird with a perfect background. Your usual spot on techs. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Gail. I'm liking this capture a lot. Love the alert pose with nice head turn, and of course the feet grasping that perfect evergreen perch. Lovely complimentary BG.

Very pretty shot Gail. The pose, the perch and the background are all perfect. Your photos are beautiful. It is one thing to get a sharp and well exposed shot. It is quite another to do that and also have an artistically beautiful shot like you always post. I find your pics to be something to aspire to.

Hi Gail, lovely setting here, and just love the soft light. ( I'm sure you dont have harsh light in Iceland ) Great look back pose, tack sharp, and good DOF throughout the image. Just a personal thing, I would have taken a bit off the RHS.

Perfect pose and nice perch. Your story reminds me of Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner: 'Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink.' I'm always amazed at how difficult it can be to get a good shot of a common bird. Well done! I might take a sliver off the right.
