    Default Bathing Pied-billed Grebe

After a nice bath, this Pied-billed Grebe dried off with a big shake. I was lucky that this took place in some nice light and at close range!

I seldom encounter a very pleasing picture of this grebe and this one is definitely a very good one. Love the light, the colors, and the water droplets!

I love it when they do that "wingless" water shake. I like the water drop action.

Really like the BG colors complimenting the bird. I also like the pose (never seen it before!) and splash. TFS

    Doug:

As mentioned, nice color harmony, background, flying drops, good shooting angle.

These little grebes are not the most glamorous birds, but you have made him look good!

    Cheers

Very pretty Doug. This is the kind of shot that I always expect when I click on one of your shots. Beautiful image quality, perfectly exposed, perfect color palette and still tells a story as well. A pleasure to view.
