This fellow was imaged last week while carrying a small fish to his chick. Pretty much a non stops job at this stage, as the chick is big enough to eat a lot of fish!

D500 f/6.3 1/1250s ISO 800 600VR . shot from my little boat, the Loonie Too!

Small crop for comp, removed a few spots in the water

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

    Cheers

Another delightful image from a nice low angle, I love how it can delicately grip the tiny fish in its bill, great colors, nice water droplets. Only thing I don't care for is the reflection line running through the eye.

what Michael said - except I like the reflections myself. Only thing I'd have edited out would be the highlight of blue on water in front of the little guy. Wonderful though.

As always- a wonderful loon image.
I love the POV and comp.Exposed perfectly.
Like the bow wave and the little fish. The water droplets certainly tell the story of a recent dive!
I wish the water reflection line did not run through the eye (but certainly not an image killer!).
I might be tempted to clone out the very bottom of the reflection where the whites stripes are.My eyes locked on that area right away.

    Thanks for the comments.

I can go either way about the reflection across the face. I liked the pop of extra color it gave to the eye, so chose this frame versus another where the eye wasn't so striking.

Yes, easy to clean up the subtle reflection at bottom.

    Cheers

lovely Randy, and surely a matter of choice to "perfect" without some of the reflections... gorgeous actually!
