    Default Short-eared owl

Short-eared owl from Vancouver. I chose a wider crop to show the typical winter habitat for these owls. Hope you like it

Really like the wing position and the earth tones throughout the image.

Another great one from that trip -- love the wing position, looser crop, and stare. TFS

Top class shot super facial details and I like the in habitat presentation. The light on the owl couldn't be much better, the head on approach is enhanced even further by the hint of the tail either side.

Love it. I long for the day I get a head-on flight shot of an owl like this. Tack sharp, wide-eyed and glorious!

Great symmetry in all respects - you don't get more 'down the barrel' than this - and the lighting complements both the bird and the background.
