I was very fortunate to see this butterfly going flower to flower on a bush in the backyard that normally attracts hummingbirds. Grabbing the nearby camera I went to work. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Nice composition here like the red and green colors of the flower.

    Hi Joseph,
A striking butterfly for sure. Nice sharpness on your subject. Well composed with this setting - I often endlessly tinker with a butterfly in foliage like this.

Wow I would like to be in your back yard humming birds and butterflies like this, it sounds like a photographer's paradise! I love the butterfly lovely colours not OTT you have excellent focus and DOF. The plant it is resting on is a little busy but I like the image very much.

A beautiful specimen giving you a great pose! The soft light here is a big plus. Good sharpness on your subject and a clean distant background. The comp works for me, though you might also consider cropping some off the left for an alternative presentation.

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated. Here is another composition I worked up after posting the original image.
