    This is one from earlier in the season. This young kestrel, had left the nest, on a ruined castle, then climbed up the castle wall, until it reached the top. There it remained, for at least 10 mins, and you could see, it was thinking twice about having its very first flight, getting very restless and agitated. I was positioned quite high up on a hillside, which gave me a better POV. It eventually took off and landed safely nearby.

    Love the title of this and the pose on the bird with the rocks. The two toned background is nice as well.

    A super shot Will, it all comes together, the composition is really eye catching as are the colours. Your title is very apt.

    Thanks for the comments. Lets hope he survives, as Kestrels are getting very scarce in my part of the world. They are declining rapidly, for some unknown reason.
