Hi Jon - That's quite a mouthful and you did well with sharpness. These guys can be fast flyers. I feel like the far wing should be darker with deeper blacks because the outer feathers are facing us. I could be completely wrong though. I just thing of the wings as darker.

Really nice sharpness and wing position with the classic puffin mouthful. I do think the repost makes the bird stand out more. Randy what exactly is that 29% overlay blend mode?

I have to admit when I processed the image I did do a darker version, but I feel the original captured the way the bird looked at the time.

Well this is fantastic Jonathan. It has all the prerequisites of a perfect Puffin flight shot. Great Wing position, nice background, beautiful details, nice exposure and all important mouth full of fish. Well done
